On to Zion!

Wow, that almost sounds Biblical.

Anyway, Sunday after graduation everyone got outta Dodge. Christina flew out early afternoon, Chris and Cathy that evening. We were the first to leave, with Shawn, down to Zion National Park. Shawn worked at a resort there a couple years ago. We got a great tour guide, she got a little vacation.

Zion was great! Really big, pretty rocks everywhere. And i do mean BIG. And it seemed that every direction you turned there was a beautiful scene to shot a picture of. We have a lot of pics of really, really big rocks.

Shawn has hiked a lot of the trails in the park so she knew where Jack could go in the chair. Weren't many, but got to get close to nature on a couple.

Waterfalls came as a surprise to her. When she had been there it was summer and they had all dried up. So, whenever we would see one i took a picture. And of course, pointed it out to her. "Hey Shawn, look, a waterfall!"

This was cool. It's referred to as a natural bridge. It's kind of hard to see in the pic, but right in the middle there is a rock that is sort of like a bridge. The pic below shows an old shot of it with an explanation.

The old picture is pretty amazing because there is a guy standing on the bridge. And they don't explain how he got out there. Crazy but true.

Zion was great. Warm and sunny. Something we hadn't seen in a while. And then there was Bryce ...
